ARSENAL COMES BACK TO WIN 3-2 AGAINST ASTON VILLA! LIVERPOOL KNOCKS MANCHESTER UNITED OUT OF FA CUP! REAL MADRID TAKE A 7 POINT LEAD AT THE TOP OF LA LIGA!

Barclay's Premier League
Arsenal managed to come back from a 2-0 deficit
against Aston Villa at Villa Park this morning. Aston Villa went into the break with a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Dunne and Bent. Shortly after the restart, Arsenal was awarded a penalty which was coolly put away by the League's top scorer Robin Van Persie. Theo Walcott then added a second, before Arsenal were awarded another penalty kick which was once again taken and scored by Van Persie. Van Persie now has 25 goals in all competitions and 21 goals in the Premier League. Arsenal sits on 5th place in the league, and is looking to overtake 4th place Chelsea for an automatic berth in the Champions League by the end of the season.

FA Cup
Liverpool and Manchester United, two of the biggest rivals in the football world, were paired up to play in the 4th round of the FA Cup. Tension was high between the two teams as a result of the Suarez Evra racial abuse incident, but the match passed without much trouble. Danish defender Daniel Agger scored the first goal of the match for Liverpool in the 21st minute, but Park Ji Sung would equalize for Manchester United six minutes before the break. Liverpool found the winner in the 88th minute when veteran Dirk Kuyt put away Andy Carrol's pass, beating United goalkeeper David de Gea on his near post. Manchester United, who were crowned the best in Europe just a few years ago, now only contend for the Premier League and Europa League.

La Liga
League leaders Real Madrid faced bottom placed Real Zaragoza at the Santiago Bernebeu stadium Saturday evening
. Zaragoza surprised Madrid when Angel Latifa scored in the 11th minute. After missing a few opportunities, Kaka made up for his errors by scoring the equalizer in the 32nd minute. After the break, Cristiano Ronaldo would score his 31st goal of the season (24th in La Liga) before German star Mesut Ozil scored his 3rd of the season. The win put Madrid 8 points ahead of Barcelona, who had the chance to reduce that lead to 5 points once again. Barcelona, however, only managed to draw against struggling side Villareal, falling 7 points behind Real Madrid.
