MANCHESTER CITY CRUSHES MANCHESTER UNITED! MESSI MISSES PENALTY AS BARCELONA BECOME 2ND IN LA LIGA TO REAL MADRID! RONALDO FINDS FORM AND SCORES HAT TRICK!

Barclay's Premier League

It is commonly accepted that anything can happen in a derby, especially a Manchester derby. One should expect the unexpected when crosstown rivals play for the number one spot in the premier league. Nobody, however, was expecting the red devils, the most successful team in English history, the team that crushed Arsenal 8-2 this year,  to concede 6 goals at home. Controversial Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli started the scoring in the 22nd minute when he finished a cross from Milner. He doubled the scoreline in the 60th minute, before helping Aguero score in the 69th minute. Darren Fletcher pulled one back for Manchester United in the 81st minute, which gave Man U hope for a possible comeback to earn one point. This wasn't the case however, as Manchester City scored three goals in the last 5 minutes; Edin Dzeko scored in the 89th, David Silva in the 91st, and Dzeko once again in the 93rd. The final score was 1-6, and the theater of dreams had become a nightmare for Manchester United.

La Liga
Sevilla's goalkeeper Javi Varas had the game of his life as he not only made 6 world class saves, but saved a Lionel Messi penalty in the 95th minute. The saves earned Sevilla a 0-0 draw, and kept both teams  undefeated after the exciting match. Two Sevilla players, Kanoute and Navarro, were red carded in stoppage time, yet Barcelona couldn't get the ball past Varas.
The result puts Real Madrid in 1st place (Although Levante still has a game in hand and can take 1st place if they win), Barcelona in 2nd, Levante in 3rd, and Sevilla in 4th.

Cristiano Ronaldo registered his 8th, 9th and 10th league goals this season against Malaga as Real Madrid won 4-0. Higuain scored the first goal 11 minutes in, and Ronaldo found the back of the net in the 23rd, 28th, and 38th minutes. Real Madrid now sits on first place with 19 points from 8 games. They are set to play 15th place Villareal on October 26th at the Santiago Bernebeu stadium.
