REAL MADRID TEAR MALAGA APART- TOUGH TEST FOR BARCA- TOP SCORERS- MAN UTD CHELSEA

Real Madrid came into the game against Malaga as the favorites, but their performance was a surprise to all. Real Madrid beat the Andalusian side with an unprecedented score of 7-0, thanks to a hat trick by Ronaldo, double by Benzema, goal by Marcelona, and one by Di Maria. Madrid dominated throughout the entire game, giving Malaga only one real goalscoring opportunity. The win boosts the confidence of Madrid players, whereas Malaga is continuing their tradition of losing as they are 2nd to last in the league. Mourinho still looked unhappy; In his mind the game meant nothing in the big picture as Barcelona still lead by 7 points.

Barcelona were tested by a top form Valencia side yesterday in Valencia's home stadium, the Mestalla. Barcelona did not look like their usual selves, giving away possession up top and in midfield. Valencia dominated during the opening stages of the 2nd half, but were unable to capitalize on their opportunities, and eventually paid for it as Lionel Messi scored the only goal in the 76th minute, and despite their efforts, Valencia could not get a point out of the meeting. Barcelona maintained their 7 point lead over Real Madrid, and are favorites to retain their league title for a 3rd year in a row.

In the clash of English Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea, Wayne Rooney continued his improving form by scoring a fantastic effort from behind the 18 yard box. Rooney and Manchester Uniteds' joy was short-lived though, as Chelsea came from behind to score 2 goals and secure the home victory. Manchester United play rivals Liverpool next, and have a tough schedule to finish off their season. Arsenal is delighted with the result as they are now a major competitor in the title race again.

TOP SCORERS LA LIGA
1. Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid)- 27 goals
1. Lionel Messi (Barcelona)- 27 goals
3. David Villa (Barcelona)- 17 goals
